We woke this morning to clear skies (yeah) and setoff on Day 2 of our adventure. Our hike continues thru the Fanes-Sennes-Braies Nature Park of South Tyrol with spectacular views in every direction. The trail descends 2100ft into the Pederu village which is reminiscent of Yosemite Valley. After a 1900ft steep climb, we reach a high alpine valley filled with spruce and pine trees and surrounded by soaring peaks. The trail winds along a mountain stream and ends at 7.3 miles at our next stop, Rifugio Fanes.
